Sheridan was established in Brampton in 1967 with 400 students and since then has grown to three campuses and educating almost 25,000 & 19,000 fulltime and parttime students respectively. Their largest campus is the Davis campus toting almost 14,000 students! Sheridan has made some significant strides for our economy proving Sheridan is truly invested in Brampton!
For every $1 spent by:
- Students: $4.20 gained in earnings for students
- Society: $16.70 gained in added provincial revenue and social savings for society
- Taxpayers: $24.70 gained in added taxes and public sector savings for taxpayers
In 2018 Sheridan welcomed a new fearless leader who worked her way up not only at Sheridan, but in her profession in academia. Janet Morrison served as Provost and Vice President prior to her current role with Sheridan. Prior to her appointment at Sheridan she spent 17 years in various roles at York University. Janet is fiercely passionate about student success and community engagement. Sheridan and the Brampton are very lucky to have her.
