Brampton Board of Trade Celebrates Intrepid Leaders

July 21, 2022 – Camaraderie was in the air, as the Brampton Board of Trade hosted their NextGen Intrepid Leader Awards at the Sky Centre, in Algoma University. Brampton business leaders gathered together, as we presented 6 local businesspeople the award, which celebrates the next generation of up-and-coming talent in the Brampton business community.

The evening was hosted by Daniel Lewis, founder of Daniel’s Chai Bar and incoming Chair of the Board of Trade, who is also a former recipient himself. He noted that receiving the award back in 2017 made him feel validated and helped boost his confidence.

Guest speaker, John Attrell, of Attrell Toyota shared his insights on how to build your personal brand and championed the benefits of finding a mentor. Attrell Toyota has had 40 years of successful business in the City of Brampton and continues to grow and give back to the community.

The evening was concluded with networking, photo ops, and delicious food from local establishments, The Food Quotient, Sweet Chandelier, Segovia Coffee and La Favorita.

Parth Kadekar came to Canada from India, in April 2012, at the age of 26. He arrived with only two suitcases and just enough money to survive the next couple of months. Parth was fortunate enough to get a job with a local transportation company, here, in Brampton with the help of a newcomer assistance program at Acess Employment. That was an important bridge for him. Parth studied real estate and began working with Century 21 Millennium Inc. a very reputable company that provided training and support. With them, he has won various awards; the Masters Silver in 2019, Masters Ruby in 2020 and a DOUBLE CENTURION award in 2021. All this, in the midst of COVID. Parth believes in giving back, so he took it upon himself to help local elderly people by picking up their groceries and medications for them.
