1. Where is the Brampton Board of Trade (BBOT) located and what are the hours of operation?


The BBOT office is located at 33 Queen Street West, second floor, at the corner of Queen and Main in Brampton. We are open from 8:30a.m. to 4:30p.m. We provide service for Certificates of Origin from 9:00a.m. to 4:00p.m.
 

2. How much does the membership cost?

Our membership rates vary according to the size of your business. A company with one to four employees has a rate different than a company with one-hundred to two-hundred employees. Click here to view our rate sheet.

3. What can I expect to get out of my membership?

Like most members-based organizations, you can benefit most by getting involved. The Board of Trade is not a referral agency but we do present many opportunities for you to meet other business people through our monthly networking and special events. Members can also get connected by joining one of our many committees. Get involved, meet people, build relationships -that’s how you benefit most.

The Brampton Board of Trade is also the leading advocate for business and employers in our community. We have a strong voice at all levels of government on behalf of our members’ interests. As a member, you will learn more about how we support you and how you can contribute to our policy advocacy efforts.

5. Is the Brampton Board of Trade a Better Business Bureau?

The BBOT is a membership-based organization providing advocacy and service programs on behalf of the Brampton business community. We are not a Better Business Bureau. To contact the Better Business Bureau, call 1-800-459-8875.

6. How can I get a copy of the Brampton Board of Trade membership directory?

The Membership Directory is a privilege of membership, available to members only. The Brampton Board of Trade does not sell the membership directory to non-members.

7. What’s the difference between a Board of Trade and Chamber of Commerce?

Boards of Trade and Chambers of Commerce provide similar services to business communities. Brampton’s business organization is called the Brampton Board of Trade.

8. Do you offer discounts for members?

Yes, we have a variety of discount programs available to our members such as member-to-member discounts, ESSO, Visa and Master Cards, insurance program and much more…

9. Can I get license information from the Brampton Board of Trade?

We do not issue licenses at the BBOT office; however we own and operate the Motor Vehicle License Issuing Office at 2150 Steeles Ave. E., Unit 2, (at Torbram Rd), Brampton, 905 792-0081..

10. What sort of networking events does the Brampton Board of Trade host?

All of our events provide our members the opportunity to network! We also hold after business events each month which are well attended by more than one hundred members each month.
