The Brampton Board of Trade is about people.

Driven by members, the backbone of The Brampton Board of Trade is our committees. We are proud as an organization to have a very active volunteer base. Our committees are involved in every facet of our business events, community initiatives, policy activities and the overall operation of The Brampton Board of Trade.

Our committees are open to all members; are a great way to meet people; and are a lot of fun. They merely await your expertise.

The objectives of this committee are:
• To develop and ensure a positive link between business and the educational community.
• To help students make educated decisions on the realities of working and doing business in today’s economy.
• To allocate The Brampton Board of Trade’s Business Scholarship - President's Award of Excellence, recognizing outstanding achievement for any Sheridan College Student in a Business Program and residing in Brampton.
• To organize a roster of people willing to speak to students regarding these objectives.

Business Development Committee
As a membership-based organization, The Brampton Board of Trade strives to offer a diverse range of value-added programs and services to its members, to help develop, grow and promote their businesses.

In 2002, the Business Development Services Committee was formed to review and expand the service and program offerings of the Board to better meet the diverse needs of its members.

The first new program to be launched by this committee is the very successful Early Morning Trade Show networking program, which was awarded the 2003 Ontario Chamber of Commerce Chair's Award - recognizing innovative, new and successful programs and initiatives. The committee also organizes various education and training seminars and workshops for members.
