• 2017 Business Excellence Award Nominations Now Open

    Brampton, ON, Dec 1, 2016 — The Brampton Board of Trade is now accepting nominations for the 2017 Business Excellence Awards. For almost 130 years, the Board has been recognizing outstanding businesses and businesspeople making a significant impact on business excellence and leadership in Brampton.

    The Board of Trade honours one outstanding individual from the community with the prestigious Business Person of the Year Award, which has been a longstanding tradition for almost four decades. In addition, 8 other businesses will be honoured for their hard work and accomplishments in the areas of leadership, teamwork, innovation, communications, community impact, mentoring, international engagement and healthy workplace initiatives.

    A panel of experts comprised of individuals from across the local business community will review all submissions to determine award recipients.

    The 2017 Business Person of the Year will be announced in January. Business Person of the Year, along with other award recipients will be honoured on May 11, 2017 at the Business Excellence Awards Gala.

    "In just a few short months, the Board of Trade will gather to honour the best businesses and businesspeople in the community. The gala is the biggest night of the year and it's a spectacular evening of entertainment, celebration and community pride," says Todd Letts, CEO. "Planning is officially in full swing."

    Members of the community are welcome to nominate local businesses and businesspeople online at www.bramptonbot.com/bea. The deadline to apply is Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at 11:59 p.m.
